Spikey’s party piece is the bed o’ nails sandwich, where he lies on one bed, has another inverted on his chest, and then invites a punter to step onto him. Ouch!! Luckily Spikey, despite some theatrical face-pulling, as witnessed here in my drawing, lived to entertain another day in London’s Covent Garden!
