Robins are found in woodland, hedges, parks and gardens year round. They eat insects, worms, fruits and seeds and easily tamed, following gardeners around in search of worms. If you ever wondered why they are associated with Christmas, it's because postmen in Victorian Britain wore red uniforms and so were nicknamed after the birds. Robins on cards represented the postman who delivered them.
