I remember first seeing award-winning British post punk singer-songwriter Elvis Costello around 1978, just after he’d released his debut album, ‘My aim is true’ at the Hammersmith Palais. The last time I saw him was shortly after the release of his memoir in 2015, which inspired this drawing. Costello was a former musician in residence at the Half Moon Putney where I am now resident artist.
