Invited to my first jazz gig at the Bulls Head in Barnes in 2022, one of Britain's most important jazz venues and dubbed the "suburban Ronnie Scott's", I decided to depict multi-instrumentalist Ed 'Tenderlonious' Cawthorne playing both flute and sax. The musician is also a producer, DJ and 22a label boss who is a UK underground music scene figurehead.
