Ischia is the lesser-known sister island to Capri in the bay of Naples. It’s where Napoletans go for a holiday. I saw these women - of a similar age to me, from the vantage point of a coffee bar overlooking the small sandy but rocky beach where they were chatting away the cares of the day. And I couldn’t resist painting them in oils .
Oil on canvas. Framed.
