Bar Italia, a classic Italian cafe, was established by Lou and Caterina Polledri in 1949. Their goal was to create a cafe in Soho, popular among Italians in London, offering superior coffee. Among the original 1949 decor pieces are the red and white formica, and the Gaggia coffee machine has been there for 50 years. Proud of my own Italian heritage, I'm delighted my portraits of customers have now been purchased for Bar Italia's walls.
