Privacy policy

In May 2018, the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) were introduced to give you greater control over the collection and use of your personal data. Since the UK left the EU, the GDPR is retained in domestic law as the UK GDPR.

I am Stella Tooth a British figurative artist based in London offering the sale of artwork, commissions and invitations to attend projects and events involving my work. 

Your privacy has always been important to me and I am committed to ensuring that your data is protected and stored securely.

My Privacy Policy sets out how any information that may be collected about you when you visit https://stellatooth.co.uk (the "Site") or subscribe to my mailing list is used and protected and it explains how you can manage this information.

Types of information collected:

1/ Cookies

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as Device Information.

This allows us to give you the best browsing experience and help us to understand which parts of the Site you find most interesting, as well as recognising you each time you visit the Site. We do not use cookies for advertising purposes and never pass your data onto any other organisations.

Most web browsers allow you to view and manage cookies in the browser preferences, usually within the ‘Security’ or ‘Privacy’ section of the browser. This allows you to delete some or all of the cookies or block cookies from being created entirely.

Please note that by deleting cookies or disabling future cookies you may not be able to access certain areas or features of the Site.

2/ Google analytics

When someone visits the Site Google analytics collects standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour i.e. country where you’re visiting from and/or which web pages you found most interesting. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting the Site.

Subscribing to my email list

If you’re on my mailing list it’s because either you’ve filled in a form on the Site to say you’d like to subscribe to receive news from me or you filled in an iPad sign up form at one of my open studios/exhibitions. We do not share your email address with anyone else.

If you no longer wish to receive my emails, you can unsubscribe at any time by clicking on the ‘unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of my emails or by sending an email directly to stella.tooth@gmail.com

When you sign up online, the information goes either directly to our subscription list on Shopify the e-commerce platform used for the Site or Mailchimp. When I want to send you news and offers, I use secure services provided by either Shopify or Mailchimp to send you news on my behalf. Both Mailchimp and Shopify are compliant with the GDPR regulations and their privacy policies can be viewed here (Mailchimp) and below (Shopify).

Buying an artwork 

DISCLAIMER

If you choose to buy something from the Site you will be buying directly from me. In the case of works for collection from the Half Moon Putney, where a number of the artworks listed are on its walls, you will need to email stella.tooth@gmail.com first to enquire whether the artwork/ artworks seen on the website or on my social media are still available to purchase, and so that it can be removed from sale. 

The Order Information collected is stored securely and only used for the purpose of getting you the correct items as quickly and efficiently as possible:

• Name
• Postal Address and if different, the billing address.
• Email Address
• Contact Phone Number (Optional)
• Purchase Information

Listed below are the processes of partner services [InXpress/Royal Mail/PayPal] that I use to fulfil your order. They all comply with the new data protection regulations. You should note I do not have any control over these organisations and we would advise you to look at their privacy statements if you’d like further information (see below).

Shopify and Paypal 

When you place an order, Shopify processes your order and links up with our payment processor 'Paypal Pro' to securely receive your payment.

InXpress / Royal Mail

When Shopify has accepted your order, and the payment has gone through, I am ready to dispatch your artwork. For UK Mainland addresses I will either use a Royal Mail signed for service, or DHL Express signed for service, depending on the size and value of your order.

For overseas addresses you need to contact me prior to purchase to determine if the order can be shipped and, if so, the best method of shipping your order, such as the InXpress Courier service.

Access to your personal information

You are entitled to view, amend or delete the personal information held. Please email your request at the email address below.  We will respond to your request within 30 days.

Data retention

Your data is kept solely for the purposes of communication and/or customer service. How long the data is kept depends on what it is being used for as described above.

When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

Laws and regulations

We may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

My Site contains links to other websites. This privacy policy only applies to this Site so when you link to other websites you should read their own privacy policies.
