Observing from a small cafe by Castello Aragonese, I saw on the peaceful beach below women bathers sharing tales, rubbing suntan lotion into each other and simply enjoying the sunshine. It inspired me to create this oil painting of female friendship on Ischia, the tranquil sister island to Capri in the Bay of Naples.
