Samuel Hutt, aka Hank Wangford, writes English country & western music and is a medical doctor. During the NUM miners strike of 1984/85, his band, "Hank, Frank & Billy," toured with Billy Bragg & Frank Chickens, playing union-benefit & anti-racist gigs. Meeting ex-Byrds singer Gram Parsons & hearing "You're Still on My Mind" led him to country music. His on stage rapport with Spanner inspired this oil painting.
