British figurative art: a commission from a Sky News friend Tim to capture his daughter Else at a delightful age. As Tim's a fantastic people photographer, I had a high res image to work from that captured Else at home and at ease. Then it was up to me to inject something else into the portrait...something I had noted when Tim had brought Else to my house and recognised from my old children: the way she would get lost in an interior world when doing something creative.
