Manuele d'Aquino, an Italian acrobat, has set himself the ambitious goal of joining Cirque de Soleil. He practices regularly in a tranquil square on the South Bank, perfecting the techniques he needs. Passers-by - like me - are charmed by his remarkable skills, including single and dual-handed balances, the latter of which I capture in this portrait drawing.
