Self-portrait with buskers on my mind

Perhaps it’s because I took up portraiture in mid life that the self portrait has never much appealed to me.  Staring at one’s ageing face in the mirror for a long time can be a sobering experience, whereas I enjoy painting the characterful faces of others! 

So I wondered if there was a way to distract myself by trying to unite both sides of my art - portraiture and performer art - in a single self-portrait.

The thought came to me that I could appear to have one of my performers - the tightrope walker - on my mind.  Can you spot the busker in my hair?
