Delighted that my second mixed media portrait of Police Dog Hogan accordionist Shahen Galichian has sold.  The first went to the musician himself.

All artists have a few artworks that they find hard to let go, and this was one of mine. My intention was to channel the feeling of artist I admire - Gustav Klimt - through the use of a decorative background that the musician could appear lost in.

Police Dog Hogan, who I caught at the Half Moon Putney where I’m resident artist, blends bluegrass, country, and folk with fiddle, trumpet, banjo, mandolin, drums, guitars, and accordion.
