Animal portrait: Thai tiger cub

It was a great privilege to see this tiger cub - with characteristic orange and black fur - up close in Thailand.  Tigers have stripes as camouflage so that they can easily hide from their prey.  Unlike lions who hunt in prides, tigers are solitary creatures.
