Skylark Galleries on London’s Southbank are to mount a free, upbeat, uplifting and visually exciting Summer Exhibition of original artworks by artists of the Skylark Collective.
The exhibition will be held in the gallery@oxo, located between the Tate Modern & London Eye, with exhibiting artists present every day for visitors to talk to and to hear about their inspirations and their processes. As many of the artists also welcome commissions, visitors will also be able to discuss how this works.
On show will be a wide selection of affordable, contemporary artworks suitable for home or office – in a variety of styles and media – all works will be for sale and purchases can be wrapped and taken away immediately or delivered if preferred.
Works available will include original paintings and drawings, artist’s hand-pulled prints, eg lino and screen prints, also mixed media, collage and ceramic sculpture.
5% of all sales will go to ECHO-UK which supports children and young people with heart conditions, and their families - https://echo-uk.org/
The Skylark Collective has two small, permanent galleries nearby, one on the first floor of the Oxo Tower, and the other in Gabriel’s Wharf.
Skylark Galleries Director, Gill Hickman, said:
“There’s always something new to discover at Skylark Galleries and with 30 artists there’s something for everyone’s taste. Our summer exhibition in gallery@oxo will allow us to show larger artworks than we can usually display. We hope that all visitors to the summer exhibition will also take time to visit our two permanent galleries so they know where to find us in the future This year we’re delighted our charity partner will be ECHO-UK whose mission is to make a difference to the lives of children with heart conditions and their families.”
